Black Matriarchy Rising is an organization I created to spread awareness about severe maternal morbidity and the disparities Black women face in maternal healthcare. Black women are 3-5 times more likely to die in child labor and delivery. They are at even more risk if they are disabled, LGBTQ+, or maintain other intersectional identifiers.

My name is Elece Hollenback
I am raising awareness surrounding the issue of maternal health disparities Black women experience in America everyday. I am facilitating support groups by donation for Black mothers to discuss their own experiences and to build community with like-minded people.
